Getting around

The transfer from the airport to Stroumbi is around 40 minutes, quicker at quieter times. Use of Google Maps and a link provided to get you to your holiday destination without fuss. Driving is easy in Cyprus, due to driving on the same side of the road as in the UK. You will quickly feel at home on the roads and Goggle Maps is excellent to help you find your way about. One word of caution, hire cars are easily identified (red number plates) and a few inconsiderate locals can be pushy! So drive with confidence and let the hot heads pass!

A taxi from the airport can be expensive, unless pre-booked and can still be in the region of €75

Getting about on the buses is very easy and cheap too! To get from the airport to Stroumbi, you will need to catch the 613 (outside the airport departure doors) and goes to the central Karavell bus station in Paphos town. Change to the 645 which leaves every hour and on the hour, getting off at bus stop number 30450 or ask for the Polycarpou Supermarket. Your journey will cost €4 per person, €2 per person per bus trip. Weekly bus passes can be purchased from €25 per person.

Your host offers an airport pick up and drop off service for €30 each way per journey, paid locally. During your stay, a days road trip can be organised with your host, to included places of interest to you. The cost being €50 and paid locally. Lunch and refreshments are at additional cost, as are any other fees incurred.

If you wish to explore outside of the Paphos District, use the InterCity coaches (green), that leave hourly from the central Karavella bus station. A day trip to Nicosia, the capitol, costs €15 return and takes around 2 hours. Limassol is €10 return and takes 1 hour 15 each way
